What I found about this About Me that caught my eye is the way he was able to have an image stay frozen as the secondary background and so when you scroll down the image would not be completely removed from sight.
What was eye-catching about this about me was the choice of colors and how she not only incorporated it in the logo but also in the background. In addition I like the way how she grouped the core values in boxes to neatly organize them.

What strikes me about this About Me is the captivating headline and sub headline. Additionally, I appreciate how organized the site is from top to bottom.

What spoke to me about this About Me is how she kept the theme of storytelling all the way through. I noticed that she has a lot more photos than other About Me pages and the photos are varied and interesting (some are black and white, some colored, some close up and some far away.) She also has a carousel of photos (that’s when you can slide through multiple photos). Also, she looks super happy in the photos. This is relevant because having a photographer is a very intimate experience that takes time and you would want to work with someone who looks enjoyable to be around.
This About Me page piques my interest because the first thing I saw was her in action doing the very thing that her website is all about. Also, that first picture she is in a neutral kitchen but had colorful fruits and vegetables and her apron which draws your eyes to the food and her.
As I was doing this assignment, while I enjoyed the process of creating and designing my first two pages of my website there was a lot of internal and external conflicts. One of the conflicts I had was talking about myself in a “biased way” as I prefer people tell me what my adjectives because then I can confirm with my values. In addition, to the internal struggle of talking about myself, I also had the struggle of designing, organizing and decorating my pages especially the About Me page as I tried to make the page look presentable and professional. The pictures I chose highlights the friendliness, the supportive, kind which is the values that I represent.
